STRATFORD SITTING. The fortnightly sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held at Stratford this morning before Mr R. W. Tate ■S.M. and Mr W. L. Kennedy j.P. JUDGMENT BY DEFAULT. McDonald was- convicted' ami discharged on a charge of drunkenness and was_ fined £2 for breaking ills prohibition order. FIREARMS ACT. L. J. Barleymau pleaded not! guilty to a charge of railing to register . a firearm. Constable Chesnutt said defendant, came to the police station, with a . request to transfer a firearm, bub Bt~.ua nob produce a negisbr.ation. paper.

Walter Brown pleaded that he was unable to make payments towards his wife’s maintenarire as ordered by the Court in May. The case was adjourned till July 18th to enable defendant to make an effort to pay something.
