Tho Army Department lias approved , of plans for a flight from California to Hawaii by Lieutenants Maitland and Hagenberger, air service pilots, in a triple motored Fok.kerf mbnoplane. ‘ Tests will be conducted at San Diego, following the flight of the machine there from -Dayton, Ohio. It is expected that the take-off will occur within a month. The flight i-s designed to subject navigation instruments to a thorough test and practical use.
