Bradley, his wife, live employees, and eight boarders who were on the premises had difficulty in escaping, a Chinese cook being severely burned about the face and arms. The building was an old landmark, and -was , owned by the Borough Council who leased it to Mr T. Dwan. Other premises in the same block saved by the brigade were those of Messrs Crystall (tobacconistJ, Just (nurseryman), VVorrall (bootmaker), Byers (confectioner). The stock of Mr JJ. M. George suffered from water. The insurances are not available. Be prepared.—See that you hove adequate Fire insurance.
