TO RETIRE

MR JUSTICE STRINGER, QUESTION OF* SUCCESSOR. .., ——— (Special to Post) WELLINGTON, Friday. lb is slated that Mr Jmstice Stringer' retires from the Supreme Court Bench next September. The question of his successor is ■exercising the minds of the authorities, but no announcement is yet available. The judiciary at present is not by any means over-crowded, and it is anticipated that a.u appointment will be made almost immediately upon the retirement. It would occasion no surprise in legal circles to see the name of Mr A. Gray, K.'O., among the list of those considered. The position of a. new King's Counsel would naturally have to be considered- Among the Wellington names mentioned are Humphrey O'Leary and A. W. Blair.
