UNABLE TO OPEN THE SHOW. Advice has boon received that His Excellency the Governor-General. Sir Chas. Fe'rgusson will not be able to come to Stratford to open the A. and P. Show on December 2nd. In answer to the invitation extended by the Town Clerk on behalf of His Worship the Mayor, the Gover-nor-Generals private secretary has written stating that on account _of their numerous engagements during the next three months, Sir Chas. and Lady Fergusson regret it will be impossible for them to visit Stratford. They are very enxious to pa- an official visit to the town at an early date, and they reizrct that the reorganisation of" their plans consequent on the forthcoming ftoyal Visit prevents their .doing so.
