HORSEMAN DROWNED.
FORDING FLOODED RIVER. Per ProB« Association. AUCKLAND, October 5. Robert Pitman, 37, was 'drowned in the Waiawa River while trying to ford the river on horseback while the suspension bridge was under repair, He was wearing an oilskin and gum boots and was apparently swept
from his horse by flood waters. The horse got ashore.
