SHEER EFFORNTERY.
KRASBIN«3 MISSION. LONG' CREDITS WANTED. (Sun cable). (Received 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, October 3. / Krassin reveals that he came to | London to revive the requests for long-term credits to develop AngloRussian trading, which will in the first place relieve British unemployment, and secondly, finance great textile, metallurgical and chemical factories in Russia. He declared that the Soviet was one of the most stable Governments in the world). She had already reduced her army of five million to half a million. She would not die if she fails to obtain credits, but would develop faster if she obtained them. Production ■woiiid then go ahead amazingly in the ne.-rt five years, but Russia required twenty-five years for amortisation of l.oans. He added that Russia was prepared to link up the negotiation with the settlement of Russian debts to England. The “Daily Mail”, in a leader says Krassin’g mission is sheer effrontery. The Soviet still proclaims its undying hostility to Britain and the Empire. Britain’s national credit will never be placed at the disposal of the Soviet Government. The paper asks what guarantees are forthcoming to prevent British manufacturers and exporters being robbed again if they undertake business on these" terms.
