RESUMING TO-MORROW
AUSTRALIAN MINERS. STEAMERS RESUME RUNNING. Pi-pad Association—Copyright. (Received 10,5 a.nr.) SYDNEY, June 21. Everything is now in order for resumption of work by the miners tomorrow. ' The striking engine drivers and firemen, numbering a, thousand, returned on Friday ami Saturday to prepare the mines. Efforts are being made to settle several sectional disputes which were in existence before the general strike began.
The trouble at Coalcliff over wages which has been in existence since tile beginning of the year, has been settled.
A hitch occurred at the South Maitland field over conditions of work.
With the mines resuming the question of relief orders for unemployed will cease to be the big matter it at present is with the Police Department.
.During the past few weeks the average number of orders issued per week lias been four hundred, tho value of each ranging from 6.s 6d t» 31s 6d.
It is expected claims will be made till the first pay its received.
The shipping companies arc making preparations to resume their timetables, which have been disorganised by shortage of coal.
