OCCUPIER ABSOLVED. . *• \ DANNEVIRKE, April 20. Fires which occurred on January 6th and 7th at the premises occupied by Francis Donaldson, grocer, in High Street formed the subject of a coronia] inquiry by Mr W. Dobson, Coroner and a jury of six. The evidence showed that there were two outbreaks, one at 9 p.m. on the 6th and the other about 4.30 on tb e following morning. Donaldson was alone on the premises at the time, bis wife having left on the morning of January 6fcb. After an exhaustive inquiry the jury found that although there was evidence of an involved financial -position and of overinsurance there was no evidence to show how the fires were caused.
