RAILWAY BOOST.
COMMERCIAL AGENT’S DUTIES. A POPULAR DEPARTMENT. Mr A. McNeill, Commercial Agent for the Railway Department, passed through Stratford to-day en route for Palmerston North, and in conversation with a “Stratford Post” reporter said that the Commercial Department was being excellently received by the business people throughout tho country, who showed that they were very eager to co-operate with the Railways for mutual advantage. As a result of frequent discussions which had taken place many difficulties had been smoothed away and the points of view of the Department and its customers were much better iinderstood than had been the case before. Tho Department had, he said had established an information bureau at tho Palmerston North Winter Show, and at this bureau any particulars desired by the public would bo easily ascertainable while in addition the display would do much to advertise railway travelling and other facilities.
