MELBOURNE'S P ROBLEM. THE' "KNrCKEBBOCREK" GANG. Melbourne, June 3. Juvenile crime, the police say, has never been more prevalent in Melbourne than at present. Following the capture yesterday of three lads by the Prahran police, tv further arrest was made to-day of a* youth aged 16, an alleged member of the "knickerbecker" gang, which has been breaking into houses in the east> era suburbs. Subsequently, in a house in West Melbourne the police discovered goods valued at about £BOOO, some of .which have been identified as stolen.
