At the Stadium, Harry Gordon was awarded the verdict against Jim Newbury in the eleventh round, when the fight was stopped owing to the loser receiving a sever© gash over the eye, which required four stitches. Up till then it was a good, ever), bout. The race was won by C. Aroa with a 2min start, his riding tim© being 38min 52sec. Parker, who gained fastest time, rode a great race from scratch, his riding time heii|g 36min 59. sec. Parker’s time is a record for the race, the previous best time being that established by him twelve months ago, viz., 40mm. T!2sec.
