SENTENCES AT NAPJIER. isapiel, June 12. At the Supreme Court to-day, Mr Justice Ostler sentenced George Wilson, who was found guilty of indecent assault on a male, to six months' hard labor. David Waihape, for theft, was admitted to eighteen months' probation. Ruru Ripoliau and Ned Hawkins, for indecent assault on a girl under 16 years of age, were given twelve months' probation. TWO YEARS' HARD FOR CATTLE STEALING. Per Press Association. Hamilton, June 13. At the Supreme Court, James McKee, farmer, married, with; two children, was found guilty on seven charges of cattle stealing and was sentenced to two years' hard labor, His Honor remarking on the seriousness of the crime. Prisoner had been placed in a position of trust, which he had abused. Farmers had the right to know their stock would be free from the the depredations of neighbours. James Wilde, a middle-aged man, was sentenced to three years' - hard labor o'n tw'o attempts of indecently assaulting a boy.
