Mi* Collins, secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department, states that ho will be in Christchurch towards thg. end of nextweek to meet the millers’ committee aud discuss with members questions of the prompt purchase of New Zealand wheat that is available, also the distribui ion of imported wheat, which will ho undertaken later by the Government on behalf of the millers. An important meeting will be held at Ashburton on Thursday by representatives of the wheat-growers' and millers’ organisation to discuss matters in connection with next year’s crop, with the- object oi ensuring a payable price ami a sufficient area being sown to meet requirements.
