THE ANNUAL.MEETING,

The annual meeting of the New Zealand Bowing Association allocated tho championship reg«tta to Auckland. Applications were : received from Wellington (for Horowhenua Lake), Canterbury (later withdrawn) and Auckland.
The following 'officers were elected: President, Major H. A. Lomex, Wanganui; vice-presidents, Mr W. Mason (Auckland), Mr G. A. Smith. (Marlborough); Council. Messrs H. Paton, E. S. Tunes, C. S. Eastwood, J. P. 1). Johnson, Q. Laehlan B. A. Main's, ]). It. Menzies ; lion, sec, Mr A. J). Bayfield; auditor, Mr G. C. J^ache. The following amendments to the rules were carried: A lightweight maiden oarsman or sculler shall not be more than, ten stone on the day of the race, and winners in this vlass shall not lose their maiden status except in the lightweight maide* class, and shall be eligible to coini|>ete in the open maiden class. It is stated that arrangements are being made to send a representative team to compete against New South Wales about March or April .next.
