A commission of enquiry into cer- ( tain complaints made in connection with the Palmerston North hospital is "being conducted before Mr Page, S.M., of Wellington. The enquiry is being held to deal 'with the circumstances of admission on June 9, 1923, of Jessie Bryce, daughter of J. J. Bryce, farmer, Kiwitea, to the hospital, her treatment jn the institution; and her discharge from the hospital.
The enquiry is the result of the -persistent complaints made by Bryce relative to the admission, treatment, and discharge from the hospital of his daughter.
Other matters which the commission was called upon to enquire into is the attitude of Dr. Barnett, honorary surgeon at the hospital, and the action of the Board in delaying and objecting to the enquiry into Bryce's allegations.
