Claiming the Australian rate of wages' the crew of the British steamer Volumnia, refused to take the vessel to sea. The. Voltimnia is under charter to the Australian Commonwealth Line. The crew stated- that their action was taken as a result of representations made by the local governing authorities of the Seamen s Union, at Freemantle.
