WAVERLEY RACES

THE JUBILEE MEETING. The Waverley Racing Club was fortunate in> the weather conditions for the annual meeting on Labor Day, and there was a large attendance. The sum of £24,40.3 was invested on the totalisator, compared to £28,207 last year. Interest centred in tlie meeting from the point of view that it was the Club’s jubilee. 'Hie biggest dividend of the day was paid by Big Push, the winner of the Brewer Handicap, who is owned by Mr Cl. Moßain, of Stratford. Another two-figure dividend was paid by Gold Peak in the Hurdles.

Two inquiries were held by the stipendiary steward. C. J. Myles, rider of Pouri Hoiho, was cautioned for interference in. the. first, race, and S. Anderson bn Cam bee was suspended for a month for crossing in the Wilson Handicap. In the hist ’ace, Camp Arm when a furlong or so from the starting post, ricked his back, and it was found necessary to destroy the gelding. 'Hie rider (R. Tito) escaped injury. DETAILED RESULTS.
