P R E&EST AT IO N OF PRIZES. The Stratford Technical High School Sports were continued yesterday afternoon. Following were the results additional to those which have appeared in the “Post.” 150 Yards’ Boys’ Handicap, under 14.—Mills 1, Curtis and Walker equal 2.

220 Yards Boys’ Handicap, under 16.—Clarke 1, A. Sullivan 2, Hitchcock 3.

220 Yards Girls’ Handicap.—M Brown 1. M. Pinhey 2, A. Hale 3. On© Milo Open Handicap.—Lindop 1, Nutting 2, Dwyer 3.

Girls’ Slow Bicycle Race.—L. Masters 1, G. Syme 2, E. Aitken 3. 440 Yards Boys’ Handicap, under 16.—A. Sullivan 1, M. Kilpatrick 2, B. Kilpatrick 3.

Putting the Shot.—Nutting 1. On the completion of the various events, the pupils and teachers assembled in one of the class rooms, when the various prizes were presented by the Director of the School, •Mr A. H. R. Amess, who in .a short address referred to the unfortunate weather* conditions of the previous day, which necessitated the postponement of the events. ■ The sports uad been well contested, and h© was pleased, at the way the small boys had entered for the events. They had displayed a great deal of grit, and those who were unsuccessful deserved bettor fortune. The senior championships had also been well contested, and but for the fact that some were prevented by illness from sompeting, the contests would have been even more interesting. Nutting specially deserved his win, and to him Mr Amess extended hearty congratulations. The girls’ senior championships had also been of great interest, while the boys’ and girls’ junior championships had also been very good. The points gained in the various championships were :

Boys (senior).—Nutting 20, Mills IC, Alger 14. •

Boys (junior).—Boon 31, Thompson 18.

Girls (senior).—R. Gibb 13, A Hale 11.

Girls (junior).—B. Watkins 19, R Townsend 16.

140yds Boys’ Open Handicap.—R. Rogers 1, Young 2. One Mil© Walk Handicap.—Walker 1, Manning 2.

The cups for the championships would b© given at the end of tlie year prize-giving ceremony. The Cup presented by the Old Pupils’ Association, (and which had been promised last year, had been received. It would bo held by Allen until the| end of the year, after which it would pass to Nutting. The Trimble Challenge Cup, which had been presented by Mr Harold Trimble for th© mile open handicap, would lie presented, and Mr Amoss stated that every boy in the School had a chance of gaining this trophy. He was pleased to say that it had been well coni {Kited for. Tire prize i had not all been bought out of the entrance money, and the townspeople had been generous iu their donations. He expressed thanks to the following whd had provided donations; Messrs Masters Ltd., Bellringer Bros., Liglitband and Wann, Weston Bros., J. Petrie, A. Moon, W. Coombridge, W. H. Humphrey, Jonas Masters, H. T. Cooper, E. S. Rutherford, George Finlay, W. H. Kelly, C. Martin, W. H. Liddell, A. Manoy, W. Murphy, and H. Trimble.

Mr A mess referred to the girls’ junior long jump, in which B. Watkins had jumped 13ft 10* inches. Tlie various prizes were then presented, and as each boy or girl came forward they received generous applause from their schoolfellows and teachers. The prizes made a. particnlarly interesting display, and consisted of a varied assortment of useful articles such as tennis racquets, razors, vases, a jewel case, silver pencils, etc.
