The latter, indeed, condemn the Nationalist manifesto as being directly opposed to the policy, pursued by the Nationalist leaders for six weeks preceding the election, which had been taken as the basis of joint- action.- The People’s Party - ■ meantime is proceeding with its cam • paign on its own lines; and is exploiting the acceptance of the Dawes scheme as its particular claim tc support in. the electorates.
