HAWERA CLUB. The annual meeting of the Ilawora Cricket Club was held last night, the olnb captain (Mr B. McCarthy) presiding over a fair attendance. The annual report, covering tho chief features of tho year, and the balance-sheet, showing a credit of £4 19s Id, wore adopted. The election of officers resulted in tho return of tho following; President, Mr L. A, Bono jvico-pmsidonts, Messrs G. Byrnes, E. Dixon, R. B. Welsh, P. O’Dea, E. M. Beechey, E. D. Wilson, J, N. Anderson, H. F. Elliott, J. E. Campbell, J, G. Osborne, 11. J. Tiddy, and Dr. Young; club captain, Mr B. McCarthy, j .secretary, Mr 11. Davies; assistant secretary, Mr J. Davies; executive committee, Messrs A. Dalgleish, F, Bernard, L. A. Taylor, T... Maciiin, E. Plank and the llov. Goring; delegates to the South Taranaki Cricket Association, Messrs P. 11. Fulton and A. Dalgloish-i classification committee, Messrs J. Nielsen, G. Mahoney, L. A. Taylor, and Rev. Goring; canvassing committee,!; Messrs B. McCarthy. J. E. Campbell, and E. J. Tiddy; auditor, Mr H. A. Jxmnon. Tho opening day was fixed for the last Saturday in September.
