PEDIGREE JERSEYS

SALE AT STRATFORD. There was a large attendance of buyers at the, sale of Pedigree Jersey cattle which took place at Messrs Newton King Ltd’s saleyards on Thursday. Tha catalogue comprised offerings from several well-known herds. Bidding was somewhat slow, but 45 out of the 53 offered irere sold, the

average price being 23 guineas. The sale was arranged for the convenience of breeders who were unable to offer catalogues which would warrant thoir-holding annual shies, and as an ar,' itiouai inducement, was restricted to yearlings in-calf heifers guaranteed sou.al. - This enabled pui'chasers to buy wi.h a fair amount of confluence.
