WAITOTARA HOTEL DESTROYED Watiga itu i .1 une -< • The Waitotara. Hotel, a building of sixteen rooms, was Completely destroyed by lire at ]() o'clock last night. Tliere is no fife-lighting apparatus in the' township and the flames, fanned by a strung northerly' wind, reduced the place to ashes • within half an hour. Had the wind been in the opposite direction, the township would have suffered severely. The building was owned by T. and W. Young. Wellington, and was insured for t"dO (office unknown) and the stock and furniture for £oOO in the New ’ Zealand Ooibpauy.
