RUSSO-CHINESE AGREEMENT
SUCCESSFUL NEGOTIATIONS. . Peking, June 1. After a month's crit'eal negotiations, China'.and Russia have signed an agreement, by which the former recognises the Soviet's agreement; provisionally settles the fate of the Chinese Eastern railway, of which the management is placed in' the hands of Russia, who takes over the railways and debts, and China restores the Russian Government property.
The Soviet allocates the Russian part of the Boxer indemnity as a fund for the education of Chinese; the • Soviet also undertakes not to transfer the Russian concessions in China wholly or partly to a third power. The Soviet' recognises Chinese sovereignty in oulev Mongolia.
