the REPULSE AT GISBORNE. Per Press Association. Gisborne, May 8. The Repulse arrived at eight o’clock tiiis morning i n glorious sunshine. The warship is being visited by sonic 4000 school children and several thousand adults, all the local lightering craft being employed in transit. The roadstead presented a very animated appearance with small cralt plying to and fro between the shore and the hittleship. The Repulse joins the Hood and cruisers'off Gisborne at 4 p.T,i.. The vessels give a searchl'ght display along the coast this evening. WARSHIPS AT NAPIER. VISIT OF 5000 CHILDREN. Napier, May 3. Tlie Squadron, excluding the Repulse arrived at g a.in. and departed 10 a..m. The city was full of visitors, and the roads loading to the Breakwater were blocked by cars for over a mile, traffic being impossible for two hours. About 50'JQ children were taken round the warships, which anchored a mile out from the shore, preventing close inspection by 40,000 people.
