Tlie regular monthly meeting of tln> General Committee was held on Tuesday, 2:1lh Apr'l, there being present: Messrs S. Pitt (chairman), 11. E. Abraham, J. Kredric, A. Stewart, V. Smith, D J Mnlono J. P. Richards, W. P. Kirkwood, A. W. Budge

It was resolved that as one applicant fir a train°r's license had not been furnished, further information is requested !>-• the Committee, his application for trainer's license foe treated as lapsed. Mr Abraham repo::t:d that 150 Dosts have been purchased and delivered at the course. Tt was resolved that acquisition of n further 200 posts 1.- loft in his hands. Pi accordance with the requssfc of the Committee. Mr J. D. Healy reported to ventilation of flm grandstand. The matter was deterred.

Mr Horner submittal a report re disposal of storm water and drainage of new wnrk. etc. The matter of making ,viil !j' > rnygements was left in ths -u'd; of the course committee to confer with Mr Horner wi h power to pefc.

Tt wa s reselvd that the Chairman and Mr Malone b > appointed a subcommittee to de 1 with tenders re construction of Tvha't Street

The Chairman reported that satisfactory arrangements have been made to purchase an area of land, approximately three acres, which will make a very satisfactory addition to the motor paddock. It was resolved that the matter of finalising the arrangements bo left in the hands of a subcommittee consisting of Messrs Pitt, Abraham and Kirkwood. The subcommittee was also instructed to attend to the matter of fencing. Improvements to west end: Under date of the 29th April, Mr Horner reported that the contractor has made good progress with' the work, and is now engaged finishing off. The number hoard has been removed to the new site.

To meet the requirements of the New Zealand Pacing Conference in the matter of disposal of assets in th 0 event of Club winding up, a draft rule has been .submitted for approval. Recent correspondence re District Clubs' representative to the New Zealand Pacing Conference was received. It was resorted that a copy of the inward and outward correspondence Bth to 14th April bo forwarded to tlio President of the Conference and that attention be directed to the existing conditions.
