NEW ZEALANDERS CO ABROAD. PERSONNEL OF COMMITTEE. Wellington, October 31. Australia and Canada now chooae their /committees of Election for tho Rhodes Scholarships exclusively from former Rhodes scholars, and it was suggested at yesterday's meeting that New Zealand should follow suit as soon as circumstances permit. The present committee numbers seven* of whom two are ex-scholars. All told there are only five ifl the Dominion, four having been killed in the Avar. The other sixteen reside outside New Zealand. The proportion is very large, and it was, not Rhodes intention as shown by tho terms of the bequest to encourage scholars to leave thojr own country.
