At Waiwakaiho on the 21th May, the penning consisted chiefly of dairy cattle, including two small dairies which attracted a good muster of buyers. Considering the quality °( the. stock, the sale throughout was a good one. Store cows 28s, 31,9, £2, fat do C 3 7s od, weaiiers heifers Jersey strain £2 10s. £'.) Is lid. heifers r.w.b. £2 10s, £3 7s 6d. in-calf Jersey heifers £7 10s, springing cows £7 '>■■■■ CO. quality Jersey do CM, cow in milk £7 15s. At the same sale we sold, two small dairy herds. One of 14 cows on behalf of Mr Stan Smith realised the satisfactory average of £lO os, the other on behalf of Mr P. H. Singh, Mangorei, averaged £<" J os. At Mountain Poad, Stratford, on the 25th May, we conducted a clearing sale on account of Mr J. Wilson and report an excellent, sale. The majority of the cows sold between £lO and £l7 10s.
