Fire in Coalmine
BLACKBALL MEN WORK WELJ^ Per Press Association. Greymouth, November 25. A fire in the Blackball mine was discovered at. 6.30 last evening in No, 4 heading, .just off the main rope road. Onb hundred men comprising the back shift wpre working in the mine, and all were withdrawn safely. There Whs a rush by th© miners to assist, and a bucket was formed, Mr Oalderstone, Secretary pf ike' Miners' Union, being prominent. Sis boots were burned off during the efforts to^subdue the flames.
