OIL WELLS PURCHASE.

BY THE P. A. HADLEY GROUP.

A cable was received on Tuesday evening by Mr. E. Gilmour, of New Plymouth, from Mr. P. A, Hadley, who is at present in Melbourne, announcing that he had bought the Tikorangi oil field. This purchase places the control of the Taranaki oil fields, plant and material, with the exception of one well, in the hands of the Hadley group. They are at present drawing oil from three wells and another is flowing less regularly. The first shipment of oil in bulk will leave New Plymouth for Australia this week by tho Waihemo.
