PALMERSTON NORTH SHOOT. The £loo* shooting match promoted by the Palmerston North GTun Club was abandoned, on account of the lack of entrants. Benson (9) 12; Fj. O.anne (8) 12; W. Fenwick (8) 11. Peter Meehan (13), Paddy Meehan (14) and C". Gray (10) retired early in the shoot. The shooting of the low Hying birds proved'a much more difficult matter for the competitors than with the straight fliers, and only one man secured the possible of live birds. This was B. Burgess, and N. D. Stubbs secured second place with four birds to his credit. Most of the others’failed to hit more than one or tw* The winner was awarded £3 as the first prize and the runner up £l.
