Advice received from Christchurch states that Mr B. M. Molineaux, inspector of the Bank of New South Wales,, dropped fdoad while ifjeing his daughter off by the train hist n ; ght. He colkpsed, and died before medical aid could be secured. He was aged 69. He joined the staff in Sydney in 1863, and came to the Dominion, in 1891 as manager.of tha Wellington branch. ;■■

The death of Major* Daniel, Henderson Lusk, of Auckland, is, announced in a Press telegram. The late Major Lusk, who w&s 88\ years of flge. arrived in New Zealand in 1849, and was one of the party that laid out Cl.ristchurch city in 1863;' He organised a corps of forest rangers snd volunteers, with f ■ft-hom- he did good service in the Maori wars on acooutit of his speciaVknowledge of the bufih.
