* TOURNAMENT. Per Press Association. Wellington, January 14. The Dominion Bowling Association’s championship contest was continued to-day under perfect conditions. Bounds in the post-section phase were decided, witli the result that the number of teams remaining in the competition was reduced from 42 to 33. The final is expected to be played on Tuesday. The Avon Bowling Club has played the following games in addition to those already reported. Field Handicap Pairs; Mosg. and Cartels beat Rogers and J. Masters. Championship Singles: Mo risen beat Sturm, Rowe beat Judd and Robins heat Patrick.
On Wednesday, Manaia bowlers visited Opunake and played a. threerink banner match,' The visitors met with an easy victory winning by 31 points.
