A general strike, apparently of' a recolutionary character, has broken out throughout Portugal. The directors of the United States Chamber of Commerce discussed the OJnglish labor troubles with representatives of the English Chambers of Commerce. Mr Stanley Machin,, president of the London Chamber, pointed out two kinds of agitators existed in England—one who honestly desired an improvement of the workers conditions, and the other who desired to overthrow the Government. Mr Hobson, president, of-the Association of British Chambers, said the effort of the British Government to settle the labor disputes Had not been satisfactory. SEAMEN VOTE AGAINST NATIONALISATION.
