THE KING’S CINEMA. The “'Great White Trail,’’ a splen-didly-produced picture of Alaska will bo screened to-night for the last time. A PARAMOUNT SPECIAL. Tlio luxury or the setting, the human interest of the story, the wonder of the acting, the artistic direction, the splendour of the gowns and scenes make “the Market of Souls,” a Para. mount-Artcraft special production, one of the finest photoplays ever produced by Thos H. luce. The masterly production of the New Year’s Eve celebration is alone enough to make the picture worth seeing. The story, too, is unusual, absorbing and highly dramatic, while the acting of Dorothy Dalton, supported by an especiallycapable cast has never been surpassed in her screen career. Supporting this on the programme include: “The Silent Mystery,”’ Gazette and Educational. Seats may be booked at once. Usual prices. ‘‘THE ROTTERS.’’

TOWN HALL TO-MORROW NIGHT. A theatrical treat is promised for to-morrow evening, when th e Allan Wilkie Comedy Company will present H. F. Maltby’s world-famed comedy, ; “The Rotters,” at the Town Hall, ' Stratford. Mr Wilkie has selected a special company for the production of this piece throughout New Zealand. “The Rotters” arrives with a great reputation from London, where it was first introduced four years ago, and has been revived, with tremendous success, three times in that city. The plot Ras to do with the laughable dilemmas of one Clugston, a self-made illiterate man, who has risen to the middle-class in provincial North of England. Clugston boasts of his ultrarespectability. but receives many severe shocks through the lapses of the members of his family. Owing to the {remarkable success of “The Rotters” IMr Wilkie has secured the Princess Theatre, Melbourne, for a season of 116 weeks, in order to introduce the play to Melbourne audiences later on. The box plan Is on view at Grubb’s.
