A number of men hanging round a fire at St. Mary’s Abbey refused to disperse, an d thc solclieis fired a volley, a man named Farrell being killed and another wounded. A meeting of the Dublin Corporation announced that the government refused grants of £170.000 unless the Corporation prohibited the recognition of the Bail Eireann (so-called Irish Parliament).
