Ihe death took place at New Plymouth’ early yesterday morning of Mrs Baker, wife of Mr C. E. Baker, of New Plymouth. Mrs Baker had b'en seriously ill for some weeks, and her death was not unexpected.

Edgecombe, who’'for the last twelve years lias been manager of the Melbourne Clothing Co.’ s Stratford Bra ch, ha s been promoted to New PI mouth, and will leave for big new quarters on, Saturday next. Mr Edgecombe has been keenly interested in many publ c matters in Stratford, and has especially identified himself with bowling, and with bis wife, will carry the good wishes of a large circle of friends.
