Corfu reports that Captain C. ;li. Howell's Mnrtinsyde aeroplane was wrecked off St. George's Bay' at Corfu on the'loth. There is no hope of survivors. Hp-frell's log was washed ashore, which proved the machine's identity. ' '
CAPTAIN ROSS SMITH 1 .

ft, i s repbrted that Wilkin's Kangaroo had a bad landing at Suda Bay, but no onev was injured. The fresh start may be considerably delayed.
■General Trenchard, Chief of the Air Staff, in a memorandum outlines the future Royal lAir Force, and Mr Churchill slates «hat the Cabinet approved the proposals in principle. The expenditure on the force in lihe next few years was provisionally fixed at fifteen million yearly. The scheme divides the force into three sections, namely, independent force, naval, and military. Eventually, it will consist of twenty-eight squadrons, eight in India, three in Mesopotamia, seven in Egypt, four on Home service, and seven with the Fleet. An Air Force reserve will be created on a territorial basis. The airship fleet for the present will not exceed one rigid and two non-rigid craft.
