T .It is reported' from Paris that the /Kaiser signed his, abdication on Wed nesday, but the publication was with--held fearing the effect on the public morale and pending the receipt ol armistice conditions. , Mr Henderson, at the Labour Conference 1 at Nottingham, demanded open discussion of peace and nc secret diplomacy. The people were entitled to know what the Covern- ; ment had decided in their name, and their sacrifices had earned the right to a direct voice in the decision. If statesmen sought to impose unjust and oppressive .conditions on the defeated Powers there would be ■ possibly"such occurrences in Germany; as in Russia,/and Germany would be reduced to such a state of anarchy and lawlessness that reparation would not be securable.
