A Mesopotamia official message states: Our cavalry eastward of the Tigris forded the river northwards of Kalatshergha and were joined by armoured cars. The enemy heavily attacked on October 28th and forced back our right flank but failed to drive ms off the Mosul road. "einforcenients arrived and restored the situation. Meanwhile our, forces advanced ufj the west bank and attacked andj drove the Turks from their positions and captured Kalatshergha. The pursuit continued on the 29th and "n® penetrated deeply the enemy’s position for five miles northward of Kalatsherglia and prisonered a thousand, taking much material.
