At Tikorangi on the same day for Mr J. Hine.'.lnr., clearing sale the attendance and competition was first class. The full herd ad heifers averaged over £l9 10s. The 'O-year registered .Shorthorn hull made £9o. At Stratford, on Tuesday 10th, there was keen competition for all classes. Yearling steers sold up to £o 19s, yearling heifers £-1 12s 6d to ,£/) 15s for best, other medium sorts C2 IMs (id to £9 Us. empty 2 year heifers £5 IMs Od to £0 15s. The 2 year steers were of 2nd grade and were not. enquired for: Backward 2 year heifers in call £0 15s, forward cows £9s 6d to £lO 12s, good store cows £S 2s to-£S IMs, store cows £5 IMs to £7 Os, small stores £9 IMs to £5 12s. At Inglewood, on A\ednesday. IHii insfc., there was a lull yarding of cattle and a small entry of sheep, store cattle sold well. Heifers and cows met with spirited competition but backward and poor conditioned sorts were hard to sell.
