Defence District Headquarters has laid down that the cost of a cadet uniform is £1 ISs. A blouse costs 15s, shorts 9s 6d, puttees 2s 2d, hat 8s lOd, and a waist belt 2s 6d. Hie life of a belt is estimated to be twelve years, and the remainder of the uniform articles four years. Deficiencies will be calculated at the above rates, and it behoves the boys to take care of the clothing.
Another warning is given in District Orders against the wearing of articles or uniform with mufti. Some Territorials and Cadets have been using their military greatcoats for civilian purpose's. Group commauders-'are 'directed to have all such offenders dealt with under the terms of the regulation. Tlie offence being a civil one, the police are to be requested to take action im every case.
