At .iu inquest on the body of Janies Colton faired 42), who died on Tuesday as the result of injuries sustained in a fall of 'rock at Stein's quarry last week, the evidence showed that Harrison, foreman of the quarry, made an inspection before the work started on the day of the accident, finding eweiy tiling right. Half a dray load of material fell about TO feet, atrik-f ing Colton. The coroner said the evidence showed that oven if all possible care had been taken, working on the face of the quarry was attended by danger. There was evidence that the accident arose through' noii-obserj vance of the regulations under the
Stone Quarries Act, but it was not advisable for him to say more about that then. A verdict'that death was) duo to injuries sustained by being struck bn the head by stone falling from a quarry face, was returned.
