There was a scene while the Assembly was discussing the usual motion congratulating flic New Governor on his appointment. Several members of the Opposition, while offering Sir Walter Davidson personal congratulation, disobeyed the Speaker’s rulings and condemned the retention of State Governors and the expense attaching thereto. One was evcntuallly attaching and the motion was carried by 82 to 11.
