A mysterious tragedy occurred at Trawool on November 101 1j . .A cabman drove u woman named Mrs Taylor and her twelve-year-old stepdaughter to Trawool, where the woman stated that she was going to nurse her sister. Subsequently, their bodies with the head’s smashed were found in the Gould rum river. The sum of £152 was sown into the woman’s underclothing. The photograph of a soldier named Arthur Oldring was discovered amongst the woman’s belongings, and was recognised as a man missing from Seymour (’amp, and who was seen in the vicinity of the tragedy. Oldring was' • -, rrested. Subsequent to the arrest, Mrs Jessie
Brown, sister of Oldring, poisoned herself and died at the hospital.
