The re-examination of men previously classed C2 commences in Taranaki at Hawera on March 4. The board vill sit there for four days, going to New Plymouth on March 8. About 350 men have received notice to present themselves for examination. They include balloted men, volunteers, section 35 men, and railway employees. THE MOTUIHI INQUIRY. Wellington, February 22. The Defence Minister states that he has received the finding of the second court of inquiry set up to investigate certain questions regarding Colonel Patterson and Major Osborne Lilly, in connection with the escape of German prisoners from Motuihi. Sir James Allen says there will not he any court-martial proceedings as the result of the inquiry.
