Sir Douglas Haig reports : We repulsed raiders - southward of Armentieres. Patrols, elsewhere brought in a number of prisoners. Enemy artillery is active-in’the-neighbourhood of St, Quentin, . Arfas-Cambrai road, Lens. Armentieres and Ypres. A break in tile weather prevented 1 flying, except for artillery observation. A French communique reports fairly lively reciprocal artillery work on the whole- front, especially in the regions of ' Pinoiy, ‘Vauxailloii, lUtil- 1 maisou, Pontayrt, Gludecourt and Butte de Mesnil.
