SHIPWRECKED MAN’S EXPERIENCE. Hess Association—Onpyricht (Received 11.5 a.m.) February 22. A search by a steamer discovered a man named Mackenzie, who is the sole suvivor of the schooner OreLe, which was wrecked by a cyclone on January 19, when the Oreto capsized. The captain and his sou and two seamen who were in the cabin were all drowned, Mackenzie and another seaman being washed off. The other was drowned but Mackenzie drifted to an island and spent nineteen days with little food. Making a raft out of kerosene cases ho attempted to reach another island hut lost the raft and swarm hack. 'He spent ieu more days on the island, built another raft, and reached a settler’s house on Marble. Island almost exhausted hy starvation.
