He won the Auckland Cup as a three-year-old, also Plumpcon Handjpap, King George Handicap, and many other good races. Havoc ran King Cole to a head when he broke an Australasian record. Franz, his sire, is a full brother to Fritz who also held an Australasian record for many years. Murmur, his dam, is also dam of Sonol (2.12) and several other good performers. ADVANCE is a, jet black horße, standing 16.2, and having great bone and substance, he was bred by J.C.N. Greigg, Esq., of Lougbeach. Advance has left a number of good performers as well as many useful farm horses and grows in popularity each season. > His sire. Prince Imperial, by Hambeltonian Bell Boy, a Bon of Ulster, by that great sire Rysdyke's Hambeltonian. Prince Imperial's data Princess, undoubtedly tha fastest mare up to her day that the colony had produced, was by Dextei by Caladon (imp ) Among other good racers, Princesß won the Exhibition Trot at Dunedin, beating that great mare Calista. Rose, the dam of Advance,is by General Tracey, from Phyllis (Berlin — a daughter of Quick Silver). Among others, Rose has produced Prince Randle 2.21, Advocate 2.20, and Clotak 2.19. Advance only raced till a three-year-old, he put up a record for the National Cup, Christchurch, beating among others Alberterious and Black Child.
