WANGANUI TOURNAMENT. Beautiful weather prevailed for the tournament which opened on Wednesday at .Wanganui, 36 teams taking part. The Stratford Club was represented by the two skips Goo. Smart and E. Bickcrton. The former’s team has won three out of five games in Section O, being beaten by McFarlane (Wanganui) 31-23; and Rankin (Wanganui) 22-21; and winning against Flower (Gonville) 22-14; Abbott (Fitzroy) 19-10; and Franklin (Manaia) 26-10. Bickerton’s team in Section D won two games and was beaten in three being successful against Harkness (St. John’s) 25-17; Ogilvio (Gonville) 24-21; and failing against London (Wanganui) 21-16; Beal (West End) 26-13; and Nixon (Gonville) 21-19.
